What we do
Deep engineering, end to end
We take on the problems where the details decide the outcome: software with no source, systems nobody documented, and requirements that do not fit a template.
Reverse engineering
Disassembling machine code and compiled bytecode to recover how software actually behaves, then modifying it. Static analysis, in-memory patching, hooking, and tools built on what we learn.
Complex application development
Applications with hard constraints, written in C and C++, C#, Python, x86 assembler and JavaScript, delivered as readable code with tests and documentation.
Infrastructure and cloud
Architecture, engineering and consulting for cloud estates and for the requirements that do not map to a product.
Integration
Connecting systems that were not designed to work together, with clear behavior when something fails.
Low-level software
Performance-critical code close to the metal: assembler, toolchains, memory-tight optimization, and the debugging discipline to make it provably correct.
Technical advisory
Independent review, architecture consulting, and a second set of experienced eyes on the decisions that are expensive to get wrong.

Reverse engineering
Assembler and compiled bytecode, understood and changed
We analyze and modify compiled software to make it interoperate, to repair compatibility problems, to assess its security, and to build tools on top of it. The work applies to software and systems you own or are authorized to analyze.
Example: a critical application with no source
The vendor no longer supports it, or never shipped source, and it has started to fail. We locate the fault in the binary, apply a targeted patch, and give you a repeatable way to apply and verify it, so the application keeps running.
Static analysis
Disassembly and decompilation of native and managed code. We recover data structures, call graphs, file formats and network protocols, and document what a closed component actually does.
Injection, usermode and syscall hooking
Loading our own code into a running process to observe or extend it, and interposing on API calls and the system-call boundary to trace, filter, redirect or emulate behavior, with a clean unload path.
Patching without source
Byte-level and in-memory patches for compiled programs, driven by per-build signature and offset tables so a patch can be validated, or refused, when the target version changes.
In-memory modification
Trampolining, monkey patching of managed and scripting runtimes, and loaderless techniques for modifying signed application runtimes in memory while leaving the signed files on disk untouched.
Compiled assembler manipulation
Reading and rewriting x86 and x64 machine code: code caves, calling-convention shims and stubs written in assembler.
Tools people can actually use
We wrap what we learn in a tool with a usable interface, safe defaults, self-tests and documentation: a desktop control panel, a command-line utility or a background service.
Typical goals are interoperability, compatibility fixes for software that is no longer maintained, security assessment and research, and diagnostics for components that offer none. We decline work intended to harm users or infringe the rights of others.
Build, host, connect
Applications, infrastructure and integration
The systems around a hard problem need to be built, hosted and connected with the same care.
Complex application development
Software with hard constraints: low-level access, unusual runtimes, demanding performance, or interfaces nobody documented.
- C and C++: native Windows applications, services, libraries, drivers and native modules for managed hosts
- C# and .NET: desktop applications, ASP.NET Core back ends, libraries and command-line tools
- Python: automation, protocol and file-format tooling, runtime instrumentation
- x86 and x64 assembler: routines, stubs and patches
- JavaScript and web: lightweight front ends, static sites, Office and Outlook add-ins
- Automated tests, reproducible builds and written design decisions
Infrastructure, cloud and consulting
We design, build and review cloud infrastructure, prototype the risky part of an unusual requirement first, and say plainly what is feasible.
- AWS architecture: multi-account organizations with guardrails, networking, DNS and domains, static and serverless hosting
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform, remote state and reviewable change
- Identity and access: single sign-on, Microsoft Entra ID federation, least-privilege roles, certificate automation
- Microsoft 365 and Windows environments: tenant configuration, mail-flow DNS, Active Directory
Integration services
Integration is mostly about the edges: authentication, malformed input, retries, and what happens when the other side is down.
- REST APIs, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, including PKCE
- Microsoft Graph, Exchange Online administration, add-ins and their relay services
- Queues, webhooks, notification services and SMS gateways
- Clients and bridges for closed protocols and file formats, built on reverse engineering
- Format converters and data pipelines into analytical stores
Escalation, not helpdesk
Where in-house expertise hits its limit
Exigentec is not helpdesk support. We're brought in for the hard problems that stop even a capable, senior in-house IT team cold: the failures no runbook covers and no ticket resolves. When the obvious answers are exhausted, that's where we start.
Connected disciplines: binaries, code and infrastructure, solved as one system.
How we work
A specialist practice, not a staffing shop
Exigentec, LLC is an independent engineering consultancy in Texas. We work with teams building and running serious software and systems, bringing deep, hands-on expertise to the parts where general-purpose help isn't enough. Small by design, senior by default: the person scoping your problem is the person solving it.
Focused
We take engagements that fit our expertise and decline the ones that don't. You get depth, not a placeholder.
Honest
Clear scope, clear trade-offs, and straight answers about risk, including when the right call is to stop.
Accountable
Work you can verify. We instrument, measure and document so results hold up under scrutiny.
Reversible
Changes are designed to be unloaded cleanly, and you receive source, build scripts and documentation.

A short note is enough to start
- The goal, and where it is stuck
- What you have: source, binaries, documentation, access
- Any deadline or constraint
